SATIPS is presenting a webinar on inspiring ways to engage Years 5 and 6 pupils in English lessons

This one hour webinar is designed for English teachers and will take a broad
look at inspiring pupils whilst maintaining rigour.

TARGET AUDIENCE: Heads of Departments and Year 5 and 6 English teachers

  • What to read in class and how to develop learning through reading?
  • What to teach on Monday?
  • Successful units of work

Threaded into the webinar will be opportunities for delegates to share ideas and to ask each other and Sarah questions.

SPEAKER: Sarah North

The webinar will be led by experienced English teacher and private tutor, Sarah North, member of the ISEB 13+ Common Entrance and CASE setting team for English and team leader for the 11+ Common Entrance setting team. Sarah is also a member of the ISEB’s Academic Committee Team for Humanities.

She is author of the book, ‘Grammatix’, published by Jonathan Catt and originally devised as a complete grammar teaching resource for KS2 and KS3 English teachers in her department as they prepare pupils for pre-tests, CE and CASE.
